Reflect Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 24, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Reflect and reflectapps.com handle information.
Overview
Reflect is designed so that your shared content is processed locally on your Mac. Reflect does not require an account, and Reflect does not upload your screen content to Reflect servers.
Reflect does not use in-app advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or third-party crash reporting in the macOS app.
Information Reflect accesses on your Mac
Reflect requests Screen Recording permission so you can build a curated Mirror window for meetings. Screen content is processed locally on your device and is not uploaded to Reflect servers.
Reflect may read locally available information such as selected displays, selected windows, selected app bundle identifiers, excluded apps, and the list of installed apps so it can power app selection, exclusions, and sharing preferences. This information is used locally on your Mac.
Reflect may also store local settings on your Mac, such as sharing preferences and purchase entitlement state, so the app can remember your setup between launches.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Apple through the Mac App Store and StoreKit. Apple processes billing, subscriptions, payment information, and transaction records under Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
Website data
If you visit reflectapps.com, your browser may provide standard technical information to the website and its infrastructure providers, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and request logs. This is standard web-delivery information used to serve the site, keep it secure, and troubleshoot issues.
The homepage currently loads a comparison-slider asset from jsDelivr, so your browser may also connect to that content delivery network when loading the site.
Reflect does not currently use website sign-up forms, advertising trackers, or analytics cookies on reflectapps.com.
Support emails and data sharing
If you contact Reflect by email, Reflect will receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message contents, and any attachments you send.
Reflect does not sell your personal information. Reflect does not share screen content, installed-app lists, or local sharing selections with third parties. Information may be shared only when needed to provide the website or App Store purchase flow, comply with the law, protect against abuse, or respond to your support request.
Retention and your choices
App data that Reflect stores locally stays on your Mac until you remove the app or clear the relevant local settings and data. Support emails may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, troubleshoot, and keep business records.
You can revoke Screen Recording permission in macOS System Settings at any time. If you subscribe through Apple, you can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple account settings.
Security, children, and changes
Reflect uses reasonable measures designed to protect information, but no method of storage, transmission, or software operation can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Reflect is not directed to children under 13.
Reflect may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting an updated version on this page.
